First Impressions of Realme Narzo 60 Pro 5G: Familiar Ground

Realme recently introduced the Narzo 60 5G and Narzo 60 Pro 5G, the latest additions to their Narzo series. These smartphones are now available for pre-booking and will be officially released on July 15. While the prices of these models have increased compared to the Narzo 50 series, they come with enhanced specifications and features. Today, we'll take a closer look at the Narzo 60 Pro 5G, focusing on its bundled accessories and features.

Realme stands out by offering a generous set of accessories with its smartphones. The Narzo 60 Pro 5G comes with a TPU case, an 80W power adapter, a USB cable, a SIM eject tool, and some documentation. Additionally, a screen protector is already applied on the phone.

In terms of design, the Narzo 60 Pro 5G deviates from its predecessors. It closely resembles the Realme 11 Pro 5G, making them almost identical except for a slight modification on the back panel. Notably, the storage capacity sets them apart.

The top-tier variant of the Narzo 60 Pro 5G boasts an impressive 12GB of RAM and an enormous 1TB of built-in storage, a first for this smartphone segment. It is priced at Rs. 29,999. The middle option offers 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at Rs. 26,999. The base variant provides 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, available for Rs. 23,999. The phone is available in a Mars Orange color with a faux-leather back or a Cosmic Black option with a polycarbonate back. The latter has a smooth, metallic texture beneath the plastic panel.

One notable feature of the Narzo 60 Pro 5G is its display. It features a 6.7-inch curved-edge AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a full-HD+ resolution. In my usage, the colors appear vibrant, and the brightness is more than satisfactory. The phone also boasts thin bezels throughout due to its narrow chin. It includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, although it is positioned a bit lower on the display than I would prefer. The phone feels sleek thanks to its narrow frame, curved display edges, and back panel.

The rear camera module of the Narzo 60 Pro 5G attracts attention with its striking design, creating the impression of multiple sensors. However, it disappointingly lacks an essential ultra-wide camera. The main camera sports a 100-megapixel sensor with optical stabilization, accompanied by a 2-megapixel portrait camera. In reality, there is only one usable camera, which is disappointing. On the front, the phone houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The Narzo 60 Pro 5G employs the same chipset as the Realme 11 Pro series, namely the MediaTek Dimensity 7050. For more information on its performance, you can refer to our review of the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G. The Narzo 60 Pro 5G features a 5,000mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging and runs on Realme UI 4.0 software, based on Android 13. The phone also includes stereo speakers but lacks an official IP rating for dust and water resistance.

The Narzo 60 Pro 5G finds itself in an interesting position within Realme's smartphone lineup. As it closely resembles the 11 Pro 5G and shares the same base variant pricing, there is little incentive to choose the lower-end options with less RAM and storage. Alternatively, customers can consider the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G starting
