A woman recently flew with Air India from Delhi to Toronto along with her husband and two kids. She was unhappy with the journey and shared her disappointment in a popular video on Instagram. She criticized the airline for the poor conditions despite paying Rs 4.5 lakhs for the tickets.
In the video, the woman, named Shreyti Garg, showed that the entertainment screens in the flight were not working at all. She had to use her phone's flashlight to help her young child in the dark because the overhead lights were not working properly. She also mentioned a broken seat handle that had wires sticking out, which worried her about her toddler's safety, but she didn't have a picture of it.
She complained to the airline staff, but according to her, they didn't provide a good solution. She felt helpless managing everything for her kids during the flight. She criticized Air India for charging high prices for tickets and not ensuring a comfortable journey, especially for parents traveling with kids.
Her video got over 2.8 million views and many comments. Some people shared similar bad experiences with Air India flights. But others disagreed, saying it's not the airline's responsibility to entertain or take care of kids during the flight. They thought entertainment was an extra thing, not a guaranteed service during travel.
