In simple terms, during a special ceremony in Ayodhya's temple on January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi might give a valuable replica of the temple to Ram Lalla. This replica is made by a skilled artist from Varanasi, the Prime Minister's parliamentary constituency. The artist, Kunj Bihari Singh, mentioned that this replica is unique because the art form used, called Gulabi Meenakari, is not found anywhere else in the world except in Varanasi.
The replica, weighing around 2.5 kg, took approximately 108 days to create. It is made from 108 different parts of pure silver and gold, and gems are embedded in various parts to make it look special. Singh expressed his intention to request the Uttar Pradesh government to have the Prime Minister present the replica during the ceremony.
Gulabi Meenakari is a rare form of craftwork specific to Varanasi. Singh explained that it has its roots in Persian art from Iran, introduced to India during the Mughal period. Even though it disappeared from other places, it has survived in Varanasi, infused with a 'Banarasi' touch, where pink color is added using gold oxide, giving it the name Gulabi Meenakari.
