Woman's Online Gaming Debt Leads to Tragic Incident

A woman in Telangana's Yadadri Bhongir district faced harassment from loan lenders and tragically took the lives of her two children before ending her own life by jumping into a water sump. The woman, identified as Rajeswari (27), had developed a strong addiction to online games and had borrowed a large amount of money to finance her gaming habit.

The incident occurred in Choutuppal town of Yadadri Bhongir. Rajeswari and her husband Avisetty Mallesh were burdened with a debt of Rs 12 lakhs, which they were struggling to repay. The couple had been married for seven years and had two young children, Anirudh (3) and Harshavardhan (2).

Mallesh, who worked as a lorry driver, would often be away from home for days. Rajeswari, being a homemaker, started playing online games to pass the time. Unfortunately, she became addicted to gaming and continued playing even after losing substantial amounts of money online.

In order to sustain her gaming addiction, Rajeswari borrowed Rs 12 lakhs from her relatives as a loan. As the pressure from creditors grew, Mallesh managed to arrange Rs 6 lakhs to partially repay the debt and assured them that the remaining amount would be paid back later.

On Tuesday morning, some creditors visited their house and demanded repayment of the loan. Overwhelmed by the pressure, Rajeswari, along with her children, jumped into the water sump, resulting in their tragic deaths later that evening.
