Three female students from a paramedical college in Udupi recorded a video of their fellow student in the college washroom, and now there's a police case against them. The FIR (First Information Report) was filed at Malpe police station in Udupi, and the college administration is also involved. The police have charged the students and the college administration for recording and deleting a private video of the female student, which could harm her reputation.
Additionally, there's a case about a morphed video of the incident being uploaded on a YouTube channel and Twitter account. It led to accusations of causing communal enmity and spoiling social harmony. The issue has caught attention, with a political party planning a protest for the arrest of the three Muslim students involved in filming a Hindu girl.
Earlier, the police requested the public not to believe rumors that girls from one community targeted a girl from another community and shared a video of her allegedly taken in the restroom.
