Pitt's character is brought in as a last-ditch effort to revive the team's fortunes. Pitt and the film's stunt drivers have been driving a modified F2 car with cameras mounted on it during the quieter periods of the Silverstone schedule. Pitt acknowledged that some spins and stalls were intentional for the filming.
