More than 7,000 people were invited to the event, with 506 prominent personalities on the select list. This included Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, business magnates Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, and sports icon Sachin Tendulkar.

An Impressive Architectural Feat

The grand Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, or Ram temple, is built in the traditional Nagara style. It spans 380 feet in length (east-west), 250 feet in width, and rises to a height of 161 feet. Supported by 392 pillars and featuring 44 doors, the temple is a remarkable architectural marvel.

Massive Audience for 'Pran Pratishtha'

Lakhs of people are tuning in to watch the live event on TV and online platforms. The central government and private offices have declared a half-day off on January 22 to allow people to participate.

Global Celebrations Across Temples

Temples worldwide are preparing for special celebrations. From Washington DC to Paris to Sydney, Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Hindu diaspora groups have organized events for the festive occasion.

Extravagant Decorations

The Ram temple is adorned with abundant flowers and special lights, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the city. Streetlights on flyovers showcase artwork depicting Lord Ram, along with cutouts of bows and arrows. Ornamental lampposts feature designs inspired by the traditional "Ramanandi tilak."

High Security in Ayodhya

Ayodhya has been turned into a fortress for the mega event, with a multi-layer security cover. Ten thousand CCTV cameras and drones with artificial intelligence are monitoring the movement of people. Plainclothes police personnel are stationed at the venue.
