The invitation was extended to the two leading stars of the Tollywood industry, Ram Charan and Jr NTR, along with five other members of the RRR team. However, it's worth noting that the director, SS Rajamouli, was not included in the list.
Jr NTR expressed his gratitude and congratulated the team in a statement. He mentioned how proud he felt that himself, Ram Charan, MM Keeravaani, Senthil Kumar, Chandra Bose, and Sabu Cyril were invited as members for The Academy Awards 2024. He thanked The Academy for the honor and also extended his congratulations to other Indian film industry colleagues who received invitations.
SS Rajamouli also took to Twitter to share his pride in the team's achievement. He congratulated Tarak, Charan, Peddanna, Sabu sir, Senthil, and Chandrabose garu for being invited to The Academy Awards. He also congratulated other members from the Indian film industry who received invitations.
RRR, the action-packed movie that captivated audiences worldwide, received immense acclaim from the Academy. It holds the distinction of being the first Indian feature film to receive an Oscar. The song 'Naatu Naatu' by MM Keeravani won the Best Original Song Award at the 95th Academy Awards. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film featured a star-studded cast including Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgan, among others.
