CBFC Directs Ranbir Kapoor Film to Remove Steamy Scenes and Alter 'Vastra'

Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming film "Animal" received approval from the Censor Board with an 'Adults Only' certificate. However, the Board requested the director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, to make five changes before its release. One adjustment involves shortening intimate scenes. The leaked certificate mentioned modifications to intimate scenes involving characters named Vijay and Zoya.

Additionally, the Board advised replacing the Hindi word "vastra" with "costume." Sandeep Reddy Vanga had previously hinted about intimate scenes between the characters when releasing a song named "Hua Main." He expressed contentment with the 'A' certificate, affirming the film's target audience as adults.

The movie spans 3 hours and 23 minutes, trimmed from its original 3 hours 45 minutes duration. Sandeep Vanga praised Ranbir Kapoor's performance, assuring the film's engaging nature. He emphasized his goal to ensure the film's profitability for the producer.

About "Animal": Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film centers around a strained relationship between a father (played by Anil Kapoor) and his troubled son (portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor). The trailer launch featured Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna alongside Ranbir in Delhi. Ranbir compared "Animal" to an adult version of Karan Johar's "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" during a press conference.

"Animal" marks Sandeep Reddy Vanga's second Bollywood directorial after "Kabir Singh" and his first collaboration with Ranbir Kapoor. The theatrical release is scheduled for December 1st.
