Impersonation at Exam: Man Uses Fake Aadhaar Card

In Punjab's Faridkot, a man got arrested for trying to pretend to be his girlfriend during an exam, as per the police. Photos of the man dressed as a woman at the exam hall became popular on social media.

The young man, identified as Angrez Singh from Fazilka, was taking a multi-purpose health workers exam at DAV Public School in Kotkapura on January 7.

To impersonate his girlfriend, the man dressed in a Salwar suit and wore red bangles, a bindi, and lipstick.

The police found that Angrez Singh used fake voter and Aadhar cards to pretend to be Paramjit Kaur, his girlfriend. However, the plan fell apart when he couldn't pass the biometric test, and his fingerprints didn't match the real candidate's.

Reportedly, the actual candidate, Paramjit Kaur, had her application rejected by the administration.

The police immediately took the man into custody, and the genuine candidate's application was also rejected. The accused faces charges, and a thorough investigation is ongoing.

"We received a complaint from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, and we are currently investigating the matter. We will take appropriate action after completing our inquiry," said Faridkot SP Jasmeet Singh, as quoted by India Today.
