In the video, someone asks Aamir why female Bollywood actors don't get paid as much as male actors. He says that in movies, how much you're paid depends on how many people come to watch the movie. He agrees that actresses work hard, but so do other people on set, like the cameramen and light crew. He believes everyone should be paid equally because everyone puts in effort.
The video also shows actress Rani Mukerji sitting next to Aamir, looking unhappy. The person asking the question then wonders if Aamir is comparing a female actress to a light crew member. Aamir clarifies that he's not comparing them like that. He's saying that everyone, including himself, works hard. He questions why someone like a light crew member gets paid differently from him.
Aamir goes on to explain that the reason for different pay is not because of being a man or a woman. It's because of how much money they can bring to the movie. If someone can attract more people to watch the movie, they will get paid more. He says it's about their ability to draw an audience, not their gender.
Aamir's last movie was "Laal Singh Chadha" in 2022, where he acted alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan. He also had a small role in Kajol's movie "Salaam Venky" in the same year.
