A yoga teacher named Vijayalakshmi, who lives in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, says that doing a yoga pose called Salabhasana every day can help cure thyroid problems. This pose strengthens your back and helps reduce belly fat.

Vijayalakshmi has been teaching yoga to students for 13 years. She even teaches for free in government schools and has received an award for her excellent teaching. She believes that Salabhasana is essential for people with thyroid issues. She says it can help with constipation and make your stomach and other organs healthier. She suggests that both men and women with big bellies should practice this yoga pose daily.

Salabhasana is also known as the locust pose. In this pose, you lie on your stomach, stretch your legs and lift them, and stretch your arms back towards your legs. You also lift your head and look straight ahead. It strengthens your upper and middle back, makes you more flexible, and works your back muscles. It also increases your strength and stamina.

Every year on June 21, International Yoga Day is celebrated. The United Nations declared this day as the official day for yoga. On this day, people all over the world, including politicians, celebrities, and organizations, do yoga to promote its benefits.
