The 51-inch idol, crafted by Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj from black stone, was a masterpiece. It symbolizes the youthful Ram on the ground floor, while the yet-to-be-constructed first floor will house idols of Raja Ram, along with Sita, Laxman, and Hanuman.
In the past, a controversial photo of the idol's eyes led the temple's chief priest to demand an investigation. According to him, the eyes should not be visible before the completion of 'Pran Pratishtha.' If they are, there should be an investigation into how the pictures went viral on social media.
