Deven Bhojani, who recently acted alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the show Dunki, talked about their collaboration. He mentioned that working with Shah Rukh brought back memories from their collaboration thirty years ago. Deven shared that Shah Rukh warmly recognized him from that time and greeted him warmly on the Dunki set. Deven, an experienced actor and director, mentioned that during the filming of Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan started addressing him as 'sir,' which made him feel a bit embarrassed.
"He greeted me warmly. I was a bit hesitant, considering so many years had passed, and he is a huge star now. We reminisced about the old days," Deven shared. He continued, "Initially, I used to call him Shah Rukh, and he called me Deven. On the second day of the shoot, he started calling me Deven sir. I asked him, 'Why are you calling me sir?' He replied, 'The whole unit refers to you as Deven sir; I'm the only one calling you Deven.' I told him we are almost the same age, and we share this old connection; there's no need to call me Deven sir."
Deven Bhojani also shared another incident from Dunki, where Shah Rukh Khan invited him and his wife to a party and was a gracious host. He mentioned that during the event, when a Bollywood garba song played, Shah Rukh approached him, seeking permission to dance with his wife. "He came to my wife and asked, 'Sir, is it okay if I dance with your wife if you don't mind?' He danced with my wife. She felt a bit shy, but she danced. It was really sweet. When such a big star behaves in such a down-to-earth way, it's something to learn from," Deven remarked.
