Russia Prevents 'Ukraine Attack' on Crimea with 25 Drones

After a recent drone attack at a Moscow airport, Russia has claimed that they foiled another attempt by Ukraine to attack the Russian-annexed Crimea. The second attack involved 25 drones and took place overnight.

According to the Russian defense ministry, the Ukrainian regime tried to carry out a terrorist attack using 25 airplane-type drones on facilities in Crimea. Sixteen of the Ukrainian drones were destroyed by air defense systems, while nine others were suppressed by electronic warfare. The nine suppressed drones failed to reach their target and crashed into the Black Sea and Cape Tarkhankut.

This isn't the first time such attacks have occurred. On a previous occasion, on July 24, the Ukrainian regime also attacked Crimea using drones. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that all 17 drones in that attack were either shot down or suppressed by electronic warfare.

Just a few hours before the report of the Crimea attack, three Ukrainian drones were downed over Moscow, which briefly closed down an international airport. One of the drones was shot down on the outskirts of the city, while two others were suppressed by electronic warfare and crashed into an office complex. Fortunately, no one was injured in these incidents.
