During the launch of a project to upgrade 508 railway stations across India costing Rs 25,000 Crore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Opposition. He said they are not willing to work for the country's development themselves and also prevent others from doing so.
The Prime Minister mentioned that some members of the Opposition still follow outdated practices and oppose progress. They even opposed the construction of a modern Parliament building and the redevelopment of Kartavya Path.
He also highlighted that in the past 70 years, they failed to build a war memorial for the Bravehearts of the country. When the National War Memorial and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's Statue of Unity were built, they criticized them without any shame.
Prime Minister Modi pointed out that inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's Quit India Movement, the entire country is now demanding an end to corruption, dynastic politics, and appeasement.
Regarding the redevelopment project, he announced that around 1300 major railway stations will be transformed into Amrit Bharat Railway Stations, with work on 508 stations commencing on that day.
