PM Modi's Third South Trip of the Year Set for January 19

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is planning to visit South India again this week. This marks his third trip to the region in the first three weeks of 2024. The PM is focusing on South India as part of his strategy for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
During his upcoming tour, the PM will first visit Solapur in Maharashtra on January 19 for a public event. Following that, he will be in Bengaluru for a Boeing India function and then head to Chennai for the Khelo India Youth Games on the same day.
On the evening of January 20, he will be present in Chennai for the Khelo India Youth Games. The following day, January 21, the PM is scheduled to remain in Chennai and is expected to return to Delhi at 4 pm.
Moving forward to January 22, Modi has plans to visit Ayodhya.
To provide context, the PM had previously visited Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, and Kerala on January 2-3, followed by a two-day tour to Andhra Pradesh and Kerala on January 16-17. Last week, he visited Maharashtra to inaugurate major infrastructure projects. During these trips, PM Modi also visited various temples associated with Lord Ram and the Ramayana in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala.
