Chinese smartphone maker recently launched its latest Nord series phone, called the OnePlus Nord 3 5G, in India. This phone comes with some impressive features, including a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, a 120Hz AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera, and a large 5000mAh battery. It starts at a price of Rs 33,999 and is available in two colors: Tempest Gray and Misty Green.
The OnePlus Nord 3 5G has a plastic frame with a matte finish, and the Alert slider and power button are on the right side, while the volume rocker is on the left side. The bottom edge houses a USB Type-C port, speaker grille, microphone, and a dual-SIM slot. The phone boasts a 6.74-inch Super Fluid AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth and vibrant viewing experience even under direct sunlight.
In terms of camera performance, the primary 50MP camera impresses with good details, dynamic range, and vivid colors in daylight conditions. It also captures decent photos in low light. However, the ultra-wide camera's performance is average. The 16MP selfie camera takes good photos in daylight but lacks sharpness in low-light conditions.
Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord 3 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset and runs on Oxygen OS 13.1, which is based on Android 13. The phone offers a smooth user experience and comes with preloaded OnePlus and Oppo apps, along with some third-party apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Spotify. Gaming performance is good, providing HD graphics and smooth multitasking.
The phone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, which provides a day's worth of battery life under normal usage. However, during long gaming sessions, some minor heating issues were observed.
In conclusion, the OnePlus Nord 3 5G stands out with its premium design and comfortable feel. The phone performs well in various aspects, including design, performance, and camera capabilities, making it a solid choice in the mid-range smartphone market. However, it is prone to collecting fingerprint marks on its glossy glass back.
