Bengaluru CEO Suspected in Son's Murder: Unraveling the Mystery

Suchana Seth, the CEO of a startup in Bengaluru, was accused of killing her four-year-old son. Before this incident, she was going through a divorce and custody battle with her estranged husband, Venkataraman PR.

Seth alleged that her husband physically hurt their child, who was also receiving treatment at NIMHANS’s adolescent psychiatry center in Bengaluru.

The family court in Bengaluru issued a restraining order against Venkataraman on August 18, 2022, preventing him from contacting the child. The court also instructed him to pay monthly maintenance to Seth until the case was resolved.

Seth claimed in her petition that her husband was abusive and neglected her during her pregnancy. She also accused him of causing harm to their child.

After examining the evidence provided by Seth, the court suspected that there might have been sexual abuse by Venkataraman.

Venkataraman denied all accusations made by Seth. The court directed him to return the child's belongings to Seth after considering both sides of the case.

Seth married Venkataraman in 2010 and their son was born in 2019. She stated that she had to live separately due to violence from March 2020 onwards.

Seth is currently in police custody in Goa and has been uncooperative during questioning. She denies involvement in the murder case, but the police found cough syrup allegedly used to drug the child and a bloodstained towel in the room.

The post-mortem report indicated that the child might have been killed about 36 hours before the body was discovered. It suggested signs of strangulation without resistance. This suggests the murder could have happened in the early morning hours of January 8.
