Kuldeep and Jadeja Dominate West Indies on Spin-Friendly Track

In the opening ODI in Bridgetown, Barbados, India defeated West Indies by five wickets. The West Indies team collapsed spectacularly, losing 7 wickets for just 26 runs in 44 balls, thanks to the excellent performances of Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja, who took four and three wickets respectively. Ishan Kishan led India's chase with a well-paced innings of 52 runs. India achieved the small target comfortably with 163 balls to spare.

The West Indies team struggled against the spin bowling of Kuldeep and Jadeja after opting to bat. They managed to reach 114 runs before being all out. Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer put up a 43-run partnership, but the rest of the batsmen failed to make an impact.

For India, Mukesh Kumar, playing his first ODI, started well with a maiden over. Hardik Pandya and Shardul Thakur also picked up wickets. Kohli and Rohit Sharma didn't need to bat as India successfully chased down the target.

Ishan Kishan played aggressively from the start and reached his half-century off 44 balls. However, he got out while trying to hit a big shot. Rohit Sharma and Jadeja ensured India's victory in the 23rd over.
