Karnataka Deputy CM's Visit to Mahakaleshwar and Kalabhairava Temples in Ujjain
Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister, D K Shivakumar, visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple and the Kalabhairava Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.
Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister, D K Shivakumar, visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple and the Kalabhairava Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. He participated in the early morning 'Bhasm Aarti' at the Mahakaleshwar Temple and then offered prayers at the Kalabhairava Temple. Shivakumar emphasized that Hindutva, temples, and gods are not exclusive to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and expressed his confidence in the Congress party's victory in the upcoming MP Assembly elections.
During his visit to the Mahakaleshwar Temple, Shivakumar arrived before 4 am and took part in the 'Bhasm Aarti' ritual. He also spent some time meditating in Nandi Hall. When asked about his temple visits, he stated that Hindutva, temples, and gods belong to everyone and are not the sole property of any political party. He mentioned that he had visited the temple before, seeking strength during challenging times and prior to the Karnataka elections, where his party succeeded in gaining power.
Shivakumar expressed his belief that the Congress party would secure more seats in the 230-member MP Assembly than the 135 seats they won in the Karnataka Assembly, which has 224 members. While he mentioned that the Congress party has a strategy in place for the MP elections, he refrained from disclosing specific details. In the previous Assembly elections in Karnataka, the Congress won 135 seats, resulting in the BJP-led government under Basavaraj Bommai being replaced, as the BJP could only secure 66 seats.
