Corruption in AAP: BJP Responds to Kejriwal's Remark

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) criticized Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal following a large rally organized by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) against the central government's ordinance on service control in Delhi. In response to Kejriwal's statement about having "100 Manish Sisodias, 100 Satyendar Jains," Virendra Sachdeva, the Delhi BJP chief, accused the entire AAP of being involved in corruption. Sachdeva claimed that Satyendar Jain had embezzled funds in Delhi, while Manish Sisodia was involved in a multi-crore scam and had also been arrested for corruption. The BJP leader suggested that if Kejriwal had numerous individuals like Sisodia and Jain, it indicated that corruption was prevalent throughout the AAP.

Regarding the arrests of Sisodia and Jain, Kejriwal alleged that they were targeted to hinder the progress being made in Delhi. He stated that despite the arrests, there were many other capable individuals within the party who would continue the good work. Kejriwal also accused the BJP-led central government of disregarding the Constitution and attempting to establish a tyrannical rule in Delhi by undermining the power of the people and elevating the Lieutenant Governor (LG).

During the rally, Kejriwal criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and claimed that his government was obstructing the positive initiatives taken by the Delhi government. He mentioned the construction of schools and hospitals, free yoga classes, and free medical tests as examples of beneficial programs that were hindered by the central government. Kejriwal also expressed concerns about unemployment and inflation in the country.

Kejriwal emphasized the significance of Ramlila Maidan, stating that it played a pivotal role in the anti-corruption movement in the past. He believed that the ongoing movement to protect democracy and the Constitution, starting from the same platform, would also achieve success.
