Weird Chocolate Golgappa: A Curious Street Food Combination

Exploring street food in India is an exciting culinary adventure that brings joy to food lovers worldwide. One particular snack, golgappa, also known as pani puri or puchka, has captured the hearts of many with its irresistible flavors. Golgappa has even made appearances on international cooking shows like MasterChef Australia.

However, there is a new and unusual twist to the beloved golgappa. A food blogger named Bhukkad Bawa recently shared a video on Instagram featuring a street vendor in Jaipur selling chocolate-infused golgappa. In the video, the vendor dips crispy suji puris into a chocolate mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated. After the puris dry, he adds sev, which adds texture and flavor to the dish.

But that's not all. The vendor proceeds to stuff these treats with vanilla and strawberry ice cream, creating a combination of sweet and tangy sensations. Flavored liquids are drizzled on top to enhance the taste, followed by another sprinkling of sev and a touch of black salt to complete the creation.

Some Instagram users expressed disappointment and disbelief in the comments, while others requested not to experiment with golgappa. The food blogger also shared another variation called "ice-cream golgappe" with unique toppings to enhance the flavor.

It's difficult to find words to describe these peculiar creations, but it's clear that the world of food combinations is gaining popularity each day.
