Tiger 3 Dominates Early Bookings, Salman Khan's Film Aims for ₹200 Cr in Week 1

The movie "Tiger 3," starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, had a fantastic start in terms of ticket sales for its advance booking. More than 60,000 tickets were sold on the first day of advance booking, and this film is set to release on November 12, which is Diwali. The advance booking for "Tiger 3" started on a Sunday.

Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, Executive Director of PVR INOX Limited, stated that they have already sold 100,000 advance tickets, including 60,000 for the first day. He believes that the movie, with its wide appeal due to Salman Khan's popularity and dubbed versions in other languages, could cross the ₹200 crore mark in its first week.

Taran Adarsh, a well-known trade expert, acknowledged the encouraging advance sales for "Tiger 3." However, he pointed out that it's not fair to compare this to the immense response that Shah Rukh Khan's films "Pathaan" and "Jawan" received, primarily because of the different release timing.

Atul Mohan, another trade analyst, mentioned that "Tiger 3" has seen decent advance sales and could have an opening ranging from ₹35 to ₹40 crore. He noted that the movie's release on Diwali day might affect initial theater attendance, but it could perform well from Monday onward if it receives positive reviews and word-of-mouth.

However, Atul Mohan also pointed out that the excitement for "Tiger 3" may not match that of Shah Rukh Khan's recent releases because Salman Khan's recent films didn't perform as well at the box office.

In the southern region of India, the buzz around "Tiger 3" is not as strong, mainly because the movie is not set in that region. South Indian audiences are more enthusiastic about regional Diwali releases in languages like Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

In summary, "Tiger 3" is off to a good start with advance ticket sales, especially in the North, but it faces competition and regional preferences in the South. Positive reviews and word-of-mouth will be crucial for its success across the country.
