Pakistan's experienced cricketer, Nahida Khan, has recently announced her retirement from international cricket after playing for her country for 14 years. Nahida, who is 35 years old, made her debut in February 2009 against Sri Lanka. Throughout her career, she represented Pakistan in three Cricket World Cups (2013, 2017, and 2022) and four T20 World Cups (2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018).
Expressing her gratitude, Nahida thanked her support system for their unwavering support. She acknowledged her family, teammates, coaches, and the Pakistan Cricket Board for their guidance and belief in her abilities. She also extended her appreciation to the passionate fans who have supported her throughout her journey, both in Pakistan and around the world.
Nahida has scored over 2000 runs in international cricket and achieved eight half-centuries, including a notable knock of 66 against Australia in Kuala Lumpur in 2018. She also holds the record for the most catches in an ODI innings, with four catches in a victory over Sri Lanka in Dambulla in the same year.
