Ananya Panday is currently enjoying the success of her recently released movie, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. Last year, during the film's promotions, she shared that Jackie Shroff sent her a random message saying 'Bhidu' on Instagram, but he never replied after she responded. Now, Jackie has explained why he sent that message.
In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Jackie was asked about sending a one-word message to Ananya on Instagram. He said, "It was just to let her know that I am always there. Mere dost ka baccha hai (She is my friend's kid). All these kids are my friends. Their fathers aren't my friends. They were at one time."
He mentioned that these kids go to parties, and even though he enjoys partying with them, their fathers don't. "Jitne bhi bhidu hai mere (All my buddies), they don't think that some relic is coming, some dinosaur is coming. They accept me. I am at their level. My childhood hasn't gone away. Mera bachpana nahi gaya hai (I haven't lost my childhood)," added Jackie.
Ananya Panday received praise for her performance in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan from fans, critics, and fellow actors. In an exclusive interview with News18, she mentioned receiving positive responses from Alia Bhatt, Mrunal Thakur, and a message from Kriti Sanon. She emphasized that women do support each other, contrary to the perception. Ananya also shared that she celebrated the film's success by taking some time off, reflecting on her life, and spending time with her close ones.
On the work front, Ananya Panday's upcoming projects include Control and Call My Bae.
