Cristiano Ronaldo's team, Al-Nassr, is interested in signing Italian star Domenico Berardi, who plays for Sassuolo. It is expected that Al-Nassr will make an offer for Berardi before the 2023-24 season.
Al-Nassr is making changes to their team this summer and has already signed Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan for €18 million. They are also looking to strengthen their attacking options.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Al-Nassr is preparing a formal offer to acquire Berardi during the summer transfer window, and Berardi has given his approval for the move.
Berardi's current contract expires in 2027, and joining Al-Nassr could be a great opportunity for him. If he joins, he would likely replace Sami Al-Najei and Ayman Yahya as the team's right winger.
Berardi's addition to Al-Nassr could help Cristiano Ronaldo improve on his performance from the previous season.
Berardi, who is 28 years old, has been a key player for Sassuolo in Serie A for the past decade. He has contributed 93 assists and scored 133 goals in 352 games for the team.
Chelsea's Hakim Ziyech was also close to joining Al-Nassr, but the transfer fell through due to a failed medical examination. Ziyech has now rejected a lower salary offer from Al-Nassr.
